The Economic Value of Reuse of Storage Drives

As fellow members of the Circular Drive Initiative (CDI), Revert and Seagate work to bring attention to the impact of disk drive disposal versus reuse and the impact that it has on the circular economy. To help with understanding of this impact, Seagate recently released a white paper entitled “Incentivizing Circular Economy Reuse of Data Storage Devices” that offers empirical results showing the financial value of reusing drives instead of recycling them.
