Data Sanitization

The average cost of a data breach reached a record US$4.99 million in 2026 (IBM and Ponemon Institute, Cost of a Data Breach Report 2026). Privacy laws such as GDPR and HIPAA hold organizations accountable for the data on retired storage. Revert erases storage media on-site to NIST SP 800-88 and IEEE 2883, with a certificate for every drive, so PII, PHI, and proprietary data never leave your facility unerased. 

Electronic Waste Management

The world generated 62 million metric tons of e-waste in 2022, and only 22.3 percent was documented as formally collected and recycled (UNITAR and ITU, Global E-waste Monitor 2024). Revert manages retired IT assets under an ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system and a zero-export, zero-landfill policy. Recycling goes to downstream partners certified to R2v3, e-Stewards, or ISO 14001. In Q2 2026, Revert diverted 99.85 percent of the material it processed from landfill. 

Green IT

Data centers used about 415 TWh of electricity in 2024, roughly 1.5 percent of global consumption. The International Energy Agency projects that figure will more than double, to about 945 TWh, by 2030 (IEA, Energy and AI, 2025). Revert erases first so servers and drives can be reused, remarketed, or redeployed, and recycles only what cannot return to service.
